The 3D-A5000 features 3D LightBurst technology which casts a unique blue light pattern on a part to acquire high-resolution 3D images at an unparalleled speed. It delivers a full field-of-view (FOV) 3D point cloud image as fast as 200 milliseconds, allowing higher throughput and shorter cycle times for time-critical in-line applications.

The 3D-A5000 delivers high-resolution 3D point cloud images constructed from over 1.5 million 3D data points. These high-resolution images coupled with a powerful Cognex 3D toolset in VisionPro, including PatMax 3D, allow the 3D-A5000 to solve a wide range of applications from assembly verification to in-line measurement and robotic guidance.

PatMax 3D Tool
PatMax 3D is an image-based training tool, used to find the orientation of one or more parts in 3D space in relation to a similar reference part. PatMax 3D is ideal for object location for robotic guidance applications and allows additional tools to perform measurements accurately regardless of object fixturing.
Height Calculator Tool
The Height Calculator tool provides the height of an object in real world units based on a reference plane.
Volume Calculator Tool
The Volume Calculator tool collects volumetric data from a 3D image providing a precise volume of an object laying on a specific surface.
Cross Section Tool
The Cross Section tool takes a slice of the image and measures the profile over that region for dimensional inspection.
The following accessories are available for 3D-A5000 area scan 3D camera:
A-coded I/O cable connects 3D-A5000 to the external trigger input. I/O cables are available in standard cable lengths of 5 and 20 meters with a straight or right-angle connector.
X-coded Ethernet cable connects 3D-A5000 to the 10 Gigabit Ethernet Adaptor. CAT6A Ethernet cables are available in a range of cable lengths.
T-coded power cable connects 3D-A5000 to the 24VDC power supply. Power cables are available in standard cable lengths of 5 and 20 meters with a straight or right-angle connector.
L-shape mounting bracket and mounting adaptor allow for easy installation of 3D-A5000 on various mounting frames.
10 Gigabit Ethernet Adaptor
Cognex recommended 10 Gigabit Ethernet adaptor optimizes the image transfer speed of 3D-A5000 over 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Optional fan with power cable improves the thermal management of 3D-A5000 sensor head for applications with heavy duty cycles.
